Trekking of the mountain volcano Escanfraga

About this tour

This hiking trail will allow you to explore the environment and landscapes of Fuerteventura.

We will pick you up from your accommodation at the agreed-upon hour and take you to the start of this tour in the north of the island. Walking along the “camel route,” we will reach the highest point of the mountain volcano Escanfraga, which stands 533 metres tall and is the highest point on Fuerteventura. You may take on the adventure of climbing the volcano’s edge, rewarding yourself with stunning views of Fuerteventura’s northern coast.

As you walk, you will discover how the locals used this volcano to live in the past, taking advantage of the limited rain for cereal cultivation.

We will make a brief halt to rest and allow you to snap photographs before continuing our journey back to the hotel.

• The hike will last around 3 hours
• Return time is estimated to be at 2:00 p.m.

• Difficulty level: low to medium
• There is no minimum number of people: 2 adults
• The maximum number of people is eight
